Mary Casely's Class Style(s)

B. Casley, RYT-200, has been teaching yoga for over 18 years and leads our Monday morning Beginner Hatha class. She holds certifications in Beginner Hatha, Gentle Yoga (including Chair Yoga), and Restorative Yoga. Mary first became interested in yoga after hearing people share stories of getting injured while practicing. When she moved to New Jersey, Mary sought out the NJ IYI for her teacher training, with the goal of learning how to teach yoga in a way that would help keep her students safe. Her favorite part of teaching and practicing Integral Yoga is experiencing the many benefits that come from making yoga part of her way of life. She enjoys sharing these practices with others so they, too, can experience the positive effects of yoga. Mary’s teaching philosophy is, “Yoga is for Everyone, Every Body! Yoga is not just physical; it is a healthy way of life that affects my mind, body, spirit, and how I live my daily life.” She loves that there are so many practices from which to choose, allowing each person to discover what works best for them. When she’s not teaching yoga, Mary loves singing spiritual songs and Broadway show tunes.
